WELCOME
In an increasingly Binary world, having a sporting wager isn’t always a simple case of Win or Lose – Yes or No. Sometimes, you might need the nuance of the Exchange markets, and sometimes, just a different perspective on your thinking. We might have differing ideas on what constitutes value, or we might even think that the politics of sport, might even impact the market.
At Raceweb, we try to offer that nuance, that perspective and discussion. It is entirely free, and our tips are sometimes right, (occasionally spectacularly so), which implies that we are also sometimes profitable!
(Ed: Like everything to do with gambling the careful use of the word sometimes is not a mistake.)
Primarily devoted to horseracing, we spend time researching and then recommending possible winning outcomes. We also involve ourselves in Golf – primarily the PGA tour and The Majors – with Sandy Lane, our Senior Golfing Correspondent. We also discuss the F1 scene occasionally, if only because the sums involved are so enormous and that always demands some attention.
We treat this entire production as fun and never let the betting get in the way of that fun. We also provide personal views on a range of topics, from pandemics to recipes and from politics to the Arts. We comment on any matters we regard as pertinent to leading a generally decent life. In short, we try to give you the answers to the Donald Rumsfeld conundrum.
“As we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns—the ones we don’t know we don’t know… it is the latter category that tends to be the difficult one.”
